KEEP HOPE ALIVE

expectation

I really love the tone of finality in the verse above.  This past week, I have gone through several tough emotions where it was like our expectations were terminated without warning.   A couple of close relatives lost their pregnancies under painful circumstances.  Through it all, we were able to affirm that God is always faithful, through the good and bad, He reigns supreme and always has a good plan – ‘I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out–plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for’. (Jer. 29:11).   So, through the healing process, it is reassuring to know that God has a plan for each of our lives.   In our frailty, we may not be able to comprehend but we must never lose hope, our hope must continue to burn because we know that surely (back to our anchor scripture) – Surely, certainly, most assuredly and confidently, there is an end and your expectations shall never be cut short!

God’s word is final.  It becomes even more potent when we truly believe His words regardless.  If we had the ability to see the future, maybe we would trust more, relax and enjoy life.  But we do not have the ability except through the eyes of faith.  We can have clear visions (pictures) of our promises with full assurance that God cannot fail us.  This is the hope that we have, our faith.    Waiting can be hard, but we can choose to keep our hope alive while we wait.

Some months back, I received an email from a dear lady, who stumbled on this blog, she has had eight (keep hope alive8) miscarriages in her 14 years of marriage.  She is one woman full of faith in God.  After reading her email, my response in my heart and to her was simple – ‘God will certainly honour your faith’’!  She will testify soon.  Most people are married and in months, they have lost their peace and faith but despite her long years of waiting (and disappointments), she was still able to declare at the end of her email ‘But I believe God will honour our faith this time and all glory will be His in Jesus Name, Amen’.  I have been in agreement with her in prayers.   God will do it!  I greatly learned from her story that in this period of waiting, we must be determined never to lose hope.

Here are some ways to keep your hope alive:

  • Act like someone who is truly expecting to be blessed again.
  • Refuse depression, fear and anxiety at all times.
  • Refuse to be ignorant (Click here to read more)
  • Mirror yourself in the Word of God and in Prayers – soak in God’s word in your heart and override all forms of fear. The mind is a stronghold that you must master over especially when dealing with delay, miscarriages, childbirth and all forms of waiting.  We must therefore be determined to break all barriers from the mind.
  • See a Qualified doctor – I pray that God will guide you to a good doctor who is current in medicine and fears God where you will find help, strength and wisdom and not fear, pain and complications. Do not be afraid. Commit your ways to God and HE will direct your path (Ps 37:5).  Please do not be in the dark by reason of your faith.
  • There are many stories of faith to encourage you while you wait, read them in expectation that you are next in line for a miracle. Whenever you read a miracle story, be excited because it is the spirit of prophecy speaking to you.  You can’t be an exemption.  All of a sudden, you too will carry as many children as you desire and we will rejoice over you in Jesus name.  (Click here to read the Idahosa’s Journey to Parenthood)
  • Rejoice with as many that rejoice! When you hear of a successful child birth/delivery, rejoice with them!
  • Keep hope alive – do all that is within your power to remain hopeful.

mePreggyFinally, if you truly know that God has a good plan for your life, won’t you trust Him every day of your life?  So, refuse to be anxious rather pray about everything.  Oh yes, God loves it when we go through life with Him.  It is always amazing at the end of every miracle.  You would see that every part of your life was working for your own good.

Keep hope alive.  I believe God for you!
